Awards to Excellence by the Latin-American Chamber of Commerce

The Presentation of Awards is the highlight of the evening and the exciting climax of a selection process that involves choosing nominees and picking winners in six award categories. The awards, which are individually crafted works of art, will be presented in a program embedded with stunning cultural and artistic presentations.

Safety

The objective of the award is to reward employers that ensure the health and safety of their employees, their customers, and suppliers. The LACC knows that effective health and safety practices pay for themselves.

This award’s objective is to recognize hard work and determination it takes to rapidly grow a business. Businesses have to be in business at least 3 years and be able to demonstrate steady growth throughout this time frame. Business of all sizes can enter. The criteria is based on rate of growth.

The objective of this award is to encourage businesses to implement employee-friendly policies. Employers can self-nominate or can be nominated by a third-party. This category will have an online voting component and will be open for voting at the "Premios a la Excelencia" Gala.

This award aims to recognize Latino businesses focused in technology and innovative products/services.
Nominees can be involved in any area of technology (Bio Sciences, Aerospace, Information Technology, or Alternative Fuel ) or improvement on a product/process or hold a patentable product.

Latino Supportive

The purpose of this award is to recognize not-for-profit organizations serving Utah's Latino Community. This category has subjective undertones and to ensure a fair outcome, the LACC will open voting in this category on its website and Gala attendees will be able to vote at the event.

This award encourages businesses to engage in diversity in the workplace. With this award, the LACC wants to reward the creation of a workplace that respects and includes differences - one that recognizes the unique contributions that individuals with many types of differences can make, and creating a work environment that maximizes the potential of all employees.
